CHRISSO ALL ABOUT DEVELOPMENT

The Rowville Football club is pleased to formally announce respected club favourite Chris Peterson (Chrisso) has agreed to support new Development Coach Brendan (BT) Walsh by being Asst. coach for season 2017.

Due to family and work commitments this role will primarily be a match day role where he will assume full control of the coaches’ box and all off field functions of managing the Development team.
Chrisso (who has significant previous coaching experience at various levels) recently told us after having a year off he was “the fire back in the belly” to get back involved with the club.
I love the club and am really excited about again helping continue the development of our younger players into senior footballers.

I have known BT for a while now, having been Asst. coach back in his Under 19 playing days at Seebeck and even then l knew he was something special.
He just stood out as a natural leader he reflected.

I am really looking forward to working with him as he embarks on his coaching journey and obviously working again with Senior Coach Peter Bastinac and the other coaches. I have enormous respect for him and what he is doing.

We are in a good position as a club and l am looking forward to getting back into it as we strive for the ultimate success.
Senior Coach Peter Bastinac welcomes “Chrisso” back into the fold.

He said Chris has been involved in all areas of our program, has an understanding of our players, their strengths, our style of play but most importantly he is someone who always “puts the team first”

I fully understand and respect, after being an integral part of the reason why our Development team of 2015 had such an outstanding year he decided to have a year off to spend time with his young family.

We are just lucky he has been able to commit again in 2017 and we welcome him back into the fold with such an important role on match day with the Development team.
