Under 15 Gold Thank You

29 Aug 2014 by David Howlett

I would like to take this opportunity as Assistant Coach of U15 Gold to express my appreciation for everyone that coached, managed, assisted and participated in achieving our Grand Final U15 Gold Premiership Win!

Thank you to the RFC and Pat Gill for giving me the opportunity to assist in coaching these hardworking, determined, resilient group of players. I have really enjoyed being a part of this team, week in and week out.

My favourite Patty saying: “This is not a disco boys!” Even though training was sometimes difficult (bad weather and injuries), it was extremely rewarding to see this team of players band together on game day, whether we won or lost. It takes all team members to give a team life.

And to those who gave up their time to make the team a success:

Thank you to Leanne, your input and experience was priceless and assisted in getting these boys the results we all hoped for and wanted.

Thank you Alicia for keeping myself and the boys organised, on time and up to date on the clubs happenings.

Thanks also to Peter Williams, for taking those awesome photos of the weekly games which documented how hard these boys worked on game day. My assistant coaches framed photo of the grand final win takes pride of place in my home.

Thank you to the Gillian family, for administering first aid to players. To the runners, umpire escorts and water boys, your assistance was appreciated.

To all the parents and extended family, your support is appreciated beyond words.

Special mention to Shane (U11’s coach) for organising a great turnout of U11’s parents on grand final day. Thanks to those parents for supporting this team.

I hope we can all convince Pat to do it again next year, with the same group of boys – as I would love to do it again.

Proud of you boys! See you all next year, keep well and stay fit!

Kind Regards,

Joe Gyorfi

(U15 Gold Assistant Coach)
