IT,S NEARLY THAT TIME AGAIN

21 Jan 2015 by Justin Grose

Well Xmas has been and gone, we have seen in another New Year, hopefully managed to get some rest and spend some quality time with family and friends whilst not adding to the girth.

As we head back to work and/or school and enjoy the last quarter of the summer season it’s time to start thinking “footy”.

Yep it’s nearly that time where we get to support our club and magnificent group of coaches and players.

The senior squad will re commence pre-season training next Wednesday the 28th on Seebeck number 2 Oval and most junior sides will commence soon after, all senior practise games are locked in and all info is up on our website. To not only wet the appetite but to also start providing important information and introduce various members across our club to everyone the club will again over the next few weeks commence presenting a series of articles & profiles.

This will include committee, club members, sponsors, volunteers, coaches, players and of course club info. Hopefully you will find these both informative and enjoyable as we “spread the Rowville word” across our community. If have a member or certain aspect of the club you feel newsworthy why not contact us VIA the website and we will be in contact to prepare a story. It can be about a player, coach, member – anything that forms part of the Rowville Football Club.

Our “ONE CLUB – ONE CULTURE” program is truly evolving and the club is getting stronger and stronger, the Rowville Football Club has been an integral part of the local community for the past 50 years. As the Rowville area has grown to a residential and business hub, the Rowville Football Club has become the centre of the community, providing the opportunity for local citizens to be involved in their community, their club.

Do not underestimate the value you provide in all this. Our success is all because of you, your family and friends who provide your support and faith in where the club is heading under the one umbrella. However, we could always do with some more help! Don’t be shy put your hand up, get involved – even in the smallest way it can make a massive difference.

Being involved in your local football clubs – whether as players; administrators; volunteers or supporters is not only rewarding and a lot of fun but it creates opportunities for people to develop life skills, knowledge and experience, whilst enabling these elements to be put to further use. So if you are thinking of becoming involved – we would welcome the help, simply contact us via the club email address and we will be in touch.

Such involvement offers comradery and a sense of belonging; shared commitment to achieving common goals. It also allows the forming of (what can be lifelong) friendships and a sense of responsibility that goes with being a representative of the Rowville Football club within our community. Good football clubs transcend barriers of age, gender, disability, ethnicity and promote teamwork; respect for common property and resources; physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle; positive attitudes; discipline; responsibility and accountability.

Your club believes in all of this.

We make no secret of our aim is to be the most professional club in the EFL and as such want to achieve long term success as a First Division Club.

ONE CLUB – ONE CULTURE and proud to be your local community football club.
