27 Apr 2015 by Justin Grose

RFC is pleased to advise that 2 time Hawthorn Premiership player Jack Gunston will be visiting our Junior teams training at Eildon Parade tomorrow evening the 28th of April between 5 to 6.30pm.

Jack will be formally presenting the new equipment supplied to the RFC juniors as part of our affiliation with the hawthorn football Club.

Following the formal hand over and photos, Jack will be part of a Q&A session in the home change rooms followed by assisting with training with our under 12’s and 13’s.

All members, players and interested parties are welcome to join us tomorrow from 5pm.

Jack Gunston

Another outstanding season from Gunston, who booted 58 goals and continued his rise to become one of the premier forwards in the AFL. Blessed with elite fitness levels and an excellent football brain, Gunston can also run through the midfield and, on occasion, park himself in the backline.

Gunston is an excellent contested mark and his set-shot kicking for goal is elite, with a 68.2 conversion rate last year. Unlucky not to win All-Australian selection in 2014, but his time will surely come.

Draft history: 2009 NAB AFL Draft 2nd round selection (Adelaide) no. 29 overall; 2011 NAb AFL Draft traded by Adelaide for selection no. 24, no. 46 and no. 64.
