EARLY RISE

EARLY RISE

It was an “early rise” for our senior playing group this morning.

As most of us were still snuggled up under the doona a 7am start at The Rise Health Group was the first step in our new strength & conditioning program. A good turnout of players were put through their paces on various drills, weights and stretches to commence our execution on improving their core strength, mobility and endurance.

Under the watchful eye of new “High Performance Director” Stuart Canavan and new “strength & conditioning coach” Thomas Lariba – Taing (TJ) the focus was on developing the correct technique and movement patterns. Matt from The Rise Health Group rounded up the team this morning to ensure our boys had the very best of support and guidance through the tough one hour session.

Stuart said he was very pleased with the first up turn out.

By having these exclusive sessions with the players here at The Rise Health Group gymnasium we will be focusing on developing a foundation of solid movement patterns, this will allow improving our core strength and power with less risk of injury. The focus will be very much across the entire playing group at Seebeck.

Junior “High Performance Director” Mike Donato will commence the start of the introduction through our lower ranks from tomorrow when he takes the Under 17,s for their first session. Plans are well under way for a formalised roll out to all teams playing at Eildon Park and further announcements will made in due course.

The Under 17,s will have access to the gymnasium and fully qualified trainers on Tuesday (whilst any senior player can also attend if they wish) with the senior squad back there on Thursday night.
