HARD'S HEADS BACK TO SEEBECK

19 Jan 2016 by Blair Morris

Former club Senior coach and 2012 premiership player Marc Hardy is returning to Seebeck oval in season 2016 as Senior Assistant Coach to complete the coaching panel headed by Senior Coach Peter Bastinac. Marc has played over 400 EFL games, is a life member of the EFL, held senior coaching roles at Bayswater, Rowville and the past 3 seasons as senior coach of the Boronia Football Club.

He has an extremely strong understanding of the game and will provide valuable knowledge of both the game and the competition to our playing list. Marc’s strong personal values, solid work ethic and endearing nature makes him the perfect fit for this role and will provide valuable support to the entire coaching staff.

Marc told us he loves the club and has no doubt if we are all prepared to do the hard work good things await us. He believes the opportunity to work under someone of the calibre of Coach Bastinac can only help his own coaching and looks forward to getting into it.

The club has focused on improving and strengthening numerous areas of the football department to ensure we continue our ability to improve our overall player development and ensure our on field performance moves on an upwards curb. With this appointment complimenting others already made the focus now very much switches to our preseason program which will have a strong focus on “strength and conditioning” under the guidance of the Rise Health Group.

Marc will join Peter and the entire coaching staff at training on Jan 27th after he returns from a family holiday.

The Hardy Family has never left the Rowville FC with Marc’s young son Bailey playing the past couple of seasons down with his mates at Eildon Park. However, we do welcome Marc, his lovely wife Kate and their children back to the fold at Seebeck.
