Finally the Flag Is Home At Seebeck

28 Apr 2014 by David Howlett

The 2012 Premiership Flag finally made it to Seebeck on Saturday during a presentation before the Senior Match against Knox. With the Club not playing at Seebeck in 2013 due to the res-surfacing works the flag was not able to undergo the traditional home unfurling the season following it is won. It was decided to bring the flag back to Seebeck and to do so in a local derby against Knox. The Knox Football Club were of tremendous assistance to the Club when we played Home Games at Knox last Year. The Flag was walked onto the ground through Guard of Honour with Rowville Football Club Players from Under 8’s through to the Seniors and we appreciate the Knox Players and Officials and the Umpires for participating. The Flag was carried by Premiership Captain and Life Member Robbie McEwin, Life Member Heather Alston and Premiership Player and Life Member Sean Alston and Escorted by Triple Premiership Coach and Life Member Paul Mynott. Over 80 guests attended the Presidents Lunch prior to the match and the club had a very succesful day with wins in each grade.
